Danah Denice is a 27 year-old singer-songwriter from Stevensville, MD. With a classical background in piano, and a folk background in guitar, she’s been compared to artists such as Carole King, Fiona Apple, and Joni Mitchell. Her raw and powerful vocal delivery, coupled with her pensive and heartfelt lyricism, has built her a loyal following in the greater Annapolis, Eastern Shore, and Baltimore areas. Her first solo EP, “Light From a Dark Room” was released on 2/2/24, and she sold out both nights of her record release show in Annapolis. The EP has already reached #7 (most downloaded) and #13 (most played) on the NACC's College Radio Charts.
Danah also helped to host Annapolis’s first women's festival in April of 2023, dubbed “The Songbird Festival”, which was centered around art and music made through survivorship. It featured affordable healthcare + support resources for women in need, and uplifted numerous women-owned businesses from all over Maryland. It will be happening again this year at Maryland Hall, on 4/20/24.
