Vornado Realty Trust
Frederick Harris serves as Executive Vice President of Multifamily Development at Vornado Realty Trust. In this capacity, he oversees Vornado’s pipeline of ground-up residential rental development. Prior to joining Vornado, Mr. Harris had a thirty-year career developing large-scale housing in the New York City region. As Senior Vice President and the leader of Avalon Bay Communities’ New York region for over 13 years, he oversaw a pipeline that generated over 8,000 new apartments in New York City, Westchester, and Long Island – primarily in dense urban settings. As Managing Director at Jonathan Rose Companies, Mr. Harris led the firm's efforts to develop visionary projects that strengthened the communities of which they were a part and set new benchmarks in sustainability. Mr. Harris earned a J.D. from New York University School of Law, an M.S. from New York University Tandon School of Engineering, and an A.B. from Williams College.
