Join the Architect of the Capitol staff for a brief welcome, followed a professionally guided tour of the U.S. Capitol Building featuring the Crypt, the Rotunda, and National Statuary Hall (note: the tour will not include the Senate and House Galleries and tours are subject to change.) Join the SAME DC Post as we finish our event with a networking happy hour at Bullfeathers nearby, with cash bar and the DC Post providing food for the group (ticket cost covers happy hour and event coordination). This event is limited to 75 attendees and the tour will be split into two concurrent touring groups. Please arrive early to go through security. The U.S. Capitol Building Visitors Center is very busy and there may be large groups going through security at the same time as our large group of 75. Arriving 45minutes early will ensure that you will be able to go through security and be ready for our 3:00 pm start with the Welcome from Joe Yates, Superintendent, House Office Buildings - Architect of the Capitol.

__ABOUT THE ARCHITECT OF THE CAPITOL |
The Architect of the Capitol is the federal agency responsible for the maintenance, operation, development, and preservation of the U.S. Capitol Complex, comprising of 18.4 million square feet of buildings and more than 570 acres of land, and thousands of works of art throughout Capitol Hill. It is an agency of the legislative brance fo the federal government and is accountable to the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court. The agency has over 2,400 employees and an annual budget of $788 million. The Capitol Complex is home to 30,000 daily occupants and hosts about 5 million visitors annually.

HEALTH & SAFETY
Please review the Health Screening Inventory found here (https://www.visitthecapitol.gov/capitol-tour-health-screening) before arrival at the Capitol on the day of your visit. If you answered “yes” to any of the questions or are not feeling well, please reschedule your visit. (The document is for your information, you do not have to fill it out or bring it with you for the visit.) Visitors are encouraged to wash and sanitize hands during their visit. Hand-sanitizing stations will be available throughout our facilities. Individuals may wear a mask during their visit if desired as an optional item during “green” Covid 19 CDC Community Level conditions. Mask wear (KN95 or N95) is required during “orange” level conditions.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
Before entering the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, all visitors are screened by a magnetometer, and all items that are permitted inside the building are screened by an x-ray device. Visitors should keep their belongings with them at all times as unattended items may result in a disruption of service at the Capitol.
